چکیده

Abstract The pinch-off dynamics of bubbles coated with silica particles in deionised water and dodecylamine (DDA) solution, at 0.2 ?M 20.0 ?M, was studied using high-speed photography. Surface pressure generated the deforming particle-laden interface during bubble obtained based on fitting to a model. It observed that these remained almost unchanged low DDA concentration while slowed down significantly ?M. Notably, both concentrations have negligible effect surface tension uncoated bubbles. difference concentration, however, is known change contact angle from approximately 27° 45°. can be concluded it particle affects particles-laden Indeed, there no significant respect DI only, resulting similar dynamics. suggested increase changes interactions, leading apparent bubbles, which turn slows process. findings this work are relevant our understanding fundamental aspects interfaces, such as those coalescence flotation froths.
